Meet Dr. Donna Szabo
Audiologist
My roots are in Elmwood Park, New Jersey, where I grew up and attended Paramus Catholic High School. I pursued my passion for audiology at Kean University, receiving both my undergraduate degree in Speech and Hearing and a master's degree in Audiology. Further expanding my expertise, I earned my Doctorate in Audiology from A.T. Still University.
My journey into audiology began with a childhood curiosity. I vividly remember watching a television program with my mother about a deaf girl, which deeply moved me and ignited my interest in helping those with hearing impairments. This early fascination led me to take sign language classes, setting me on a path to dedicate my career to improving people's lives through better hearing.
In my role, my focus is on evaluating, diagnosing, and treating hearing loss. I dedicate myself to providing personalized care and empowering patients with effective hearing solutions. Witnessing the transformation on a patient's face when they hear clearly for the first time in years is the most rewarding aspect of my work.
These powerful moments, especially when they bring tears of joy, continually remind me of why I am passionate about what I do.
When I'm not in the clinic, I enjoy a variety of activities that enrich my personal life. You might find me engaging in a game of pickleball, participating in lively discussions at my book club, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, or simply unwinding out on the water.
