2016 NJ Hearing Loss Association Walk4Hearing Kickoff Event

This Saturday the Hearing Loss Association of America’s New Jersey (HLAA-NJ) chapter will be hosting a Kickoff for its annual Walk4Hearing fundraiser.  The Kickoff is similar to a pep rally to promote the Walk and discuss ways individuals can raise community awareness.  The Kickoff has 3 goals: 1. Gather individuals who are interested in learning more about the Walk to encourage support and participation 2. Give potential Walkers information on how to best raise community awareness about hearing loss and collect donations 3. Distribute Walk materials to volunteers and team captains in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Both the Walk and Kickoff are great ways to meet other people impacted by hearing loss. The Kickoff will be held on Saturday September 10 at Maggiano’s Restaurant in Bridgewater, NJ 12pm – 2pm.  The Walk4Hearing will take place on Sunday October 16 at Mercer County Park in West Windsor, NJ.  Both events are free but prior registration is strongly recommended.
